GC Staff – CUNY Humanities Alliance

The Humanities Alliance at the Graduate Center was a collaboration between the Futures Initiative and the Teaching and Learning Center. Locating the program within existing centers allowed for sharing knowledge, relations, and resources, facilitating the institutionalization of lessons learned and their application in multiple spaces.

Humanities Alliance staff at The Graduate Center included full-time staff at the Teaching and Learning Center and the Futures Initiative and part-time personnel employed solely for HA-related work. The Futures Initiative oversaw the CUNY Peer Leaders, supported the work of the Senior Research Associate, and participated in strategic oversight and partnership with the Humanities Alliance. The Teaching & Learning Center supported the Graduate Center students’ development as educators in CUNY and beyond. In addition to sharing staff, the Humanities Alliance and Teaching & Learning Center drew from each other’s resources and worked collaboratively on projects and programs aiming to support the pedagogical development of Graduate Center students.
